JOB PURPOSE
Across south Sudan programme is looking for suitably qualified south Sudanese national for the post of nurses’ Juba – Gorom programme, the incumbents shall manage the operation of the covid-19 isolation facilities.
Essential job duties/scope of work
- Provide direct and quality care to COVID-19 suspected and confirmed patients
- Lead the ambulance team to collect patient from the alert site to the COVID-19 facility
- Work closely with your clinical supervisor and colleagues to determine the operational needs of the COVID-19 facility within the scope of management.
- Make sure all required materials (PPEs, Disinfectants, waste bag, patient supplies and pharmectucal are available the triage room, ward and ambulance.
- Take lead in conducting daily health education sessions and respective facilities.
- Use the strict measures of injection prevention and control (IPC) when handling patients and surrounding as described in SOPs.
- Support in provision of training and supportive supervision and ad hence to all guidelines.
- Conduct health education to the patients and relatives.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly report and ensure recording of patients is done appropriately.
- Implement any other duty requested by the direct supervisor.
- Creating health awareness campaigns within the health facility and catchment area.
Qualification and Experience
- Degree/ diploma in nursing from a recognized institution and certificate of IPC working experience in a health emergency context is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience is required in any related filed of mid wife from health sector.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written in English and Arabic
- Accuracy, attention to details and ability to detect inconstancies and inaccuracies.
- Extremely flexible and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations,
- Motivate to work in highly risky environment.
- Actively promote PSEA (prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse) standards within and among the beneficiaries served by across.
- Committed Christian with heart for the disadvantaged communities as the refugees
- Demonstrate integrity, excellence, stewardship and collaborative abilities.
- Ability to lead and facilitate and conduct devotions.
- Must knowledge of the local language of the area as an added advantage.
- Must be a born again Christian.
