JOB PURPOSE
ACROSS south Sudan programme is looking for suitably qualified South Sudanese national for the post of Clinical officer Gorom PHCC. The incumbent shall manage the operation of the covid-19 response and isolation facilities in Gorom PHCC.
Essential job duties/scope of work
- Perform triage of suspected cases based on south Sudan COVID-19 SOP and case definition.
- Perform the triage of confirmed case based on case severity.
- Work closely with the team leader and colleagues to determine the operational needs of the COVID-19 facility within the scope of management.
- Conduct on job training for nurses, midwifes, hygiene promoters at the health facility.
- Take lead in conducting daily health education sessions in the facility.
- Respond programmatically to the health care interventions for emergencies and disease outbreak as requested by the health officer in charge.
- Participate in the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of health related activities.
- Participate in collection of data used to generate health report. Analyze and preparation of weekly and monthly report as required.
- Follow up of inpatient and referring cases beyond the scope of management.
- Taking a lead in record keeping and updates
- Creating health awareness campaigns within the health facility and catchment area.
Qualification and Experience
- Degree/ diploma in clinical medicine/community health or any related filed.
- 2-3 years of experience in conducting related activities with an NGO.
- Knowledge of health management records and health information system (HIS) with excellent communication in both oral and written English.
- Accuracy, attention to details and ability to detect inconstancies and inaccuracies.
- Ability to work under pressure with maximum accuracy, follow operational and programme procedures.
- Committed Christian with a heart for the disadvantaged communities as the refugees
- Demonstrate integrity, excellence, stewardship and collaborative abilities.
- Ability to lead and facilitate and conduct devotions.
- Must knowledge of the local language of the area as an added advantage.
- Must be a born again Christian.
